24 hour staycation at The Chedi Al Bait, Sharjah

PRE-STAYK - THE HISTORY OF THE CHEDI AL BAIT, SHARJAH

The Chedi “Al Bait”, literally translated as “The Home” is a getaway immersing you into the rich heritage of Sharjah, in a unique historic collection of five heritage houses that were once occupied by the Al Midfa Family who shaped the beginnings of the Emirate of Sharjah.
Ibrahim Bin Mohammed Al Midfa, originally from Oman, was the first journalist in Sharjah - he launched his newspaper, Al Midfa's Oman, widely recognised as the first newspaper to be produced in the area. Al Midfa also issued a second periodical, Sawt Al Asafeer (the Sound of Birds). He was also responsible for launching Sharjah's first postal service.

 

DAY 1

2PM: ARRIVAL

2.30PM: SETTLE IN

Unlock the sanctuary that is your accommodation; expect authentic Arabian ambience blended with Asian minimalistic design, with elements like the room’s majlis area and the antique style furnishings: simple yet sublime. Enjoy the soothing sounds of the birds chirping whilst relaxing on your private patio.

3PM: POOL

Time for a dip in the intimate pool, with light background instrumental music to complete your serene staycation experience.

4PM: SPA

Escape in the oasis of the Spa and relax with one the healing methods of the Far East at The Spa, using organic artisan products. Your staycation includes two 60-minute Balinese Massages. After your massage, you can enjoy the Spa at your own space, by dipping into the Whirl Bath, using the sauna and steam rooms, and pausing in the relaxation room.

6.30PM: MUSEUM

Deep dive into the history of The Chedi Al Bait, Sharjah and the Al Midfa family who used to live in what is your present-day staycation spot.

7PM: THE LIBRARY

Pick your next story to read amongst hundreds of antiquarian and contemporary books spanning a variety of subjects and interests.

8.30PM: DINNER

Head to The Restaurant and indulge in a blend of Eastern and Western cuisine, highlighting all of their unique taste and spices in every bite.

10PM: EVENING WALK

Stroll around the maze-like alleys at night, when The Chedi Al Bait unveils its magical beauty.

11PM: REST TIME

Rejuvenate with a great night of deep sleep with a unique mattress made of horsehair - firm and comfy at the same time; complemented by choosing your preferred pillow from the pillow menu.

 

NEXT DAY

8AM: AWAKE

Awake to a cup of nespresso coffee, with the nespresso machine at your disposal in your room, and head to your private patio for a peaceful start to your morning.

9 AM: POOL

Time to take one last dip into serenity at the pool.

10AM: BREAKFAST
